We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Flight delays, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In our desire to be effective and fair to all patrons, and out of consideration for our tour drivers’ time, we have adopted the following policies:
Your booking can be modified or canceled online or over the phone 48 hours prior to your booking departure date. A full refund can be requested if the 48-hour advanced notice is given with no questions asked!
If you are unable to provide us with a 48 hours advance notice you will not be offered a refund. During the peak season we are fully booked, a no show means we have turned customers away due to no availability based on the booked tour.
No-shows: Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their reservation for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged for their “missed” tour.
Arriving late: Tour reservation times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late the tour must depart without you. We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes early as to avoid arriving late. During the peak season traffic volume on the Outer Banks is, at times, very heavy. Tours are scheduled throughout the day at set times so a late departure would have a ripple effect for later tour times and would inconvenience our other patrons.
Special Circumstances: Emergencies such as a sudden illness are all considered and reviewed on an individual case basis. If a member of your party does have a special circumstance arise that will affect your reservation, we will consider the reimbursement for that individual but request the remaining party honor their reservation.
Inclement Weather: The Outer Banks has varied weather and spans a large area. When a weather forecast predicts storms on the Outer Banks, we will monitor the radar for any dangerous conditions. If you are concerned about the weather for your tour, please call us at 252.489.2020 and we will provide our current status. We will not send out tours during unsafe weather conditions. These tours will be canceled and a full refund, or rescheduled tour depending on availability, will be given.
Promotional Emails: We will send you promotional e-mails periodically featuring current specials, coupons and deals. You may “opt-out” or unsubscribe from our promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email that was received. Also, your privacy is very important to us and we will never give your email address to third party vendors. We hate Spam as much as you do!
